Seasonal Eating

My Dad still harvest his  his amazing abundant vegetable garden today in his late 70’s despite his physical obstacles. It’s something he doesn’t give up on, and finds a way to continue to sow and reap. 

Earlier this year my Dad finally had his hip replacement. All through last spring he had to plant, fig and prepare the garden for summer, by lying down on his stomach to get the job done. 

I truly believe his connection to the earth and nature is what is helping his health be the best it can be. 

I beer took much notice of the Garden as a child as kids we were more focused on kicking the ball around the back yard, playing cricket,  playing chase around the garden. as I have golf older and especially over the time of publishing my threee health and nutrition books I have picked my Dad’s brain about gardening. 
Yep old fashion gardening works. 

My dad’s garden is ORGANIC He doesn’t use sprays, he has a system with composting and recycling. 

I didn’t alwaysike winter but as I have learnt is every SEASON has it’s purpose. 

Thanks Dad, for raising us up around the most natural environment possible. 

🌿Imagine a vegetable garden in the dead of winter. Then imagine the same garden on a sunny, 
summer day. How different the garden is during these two seasons of the year! Yet, today it is so easy 
for us to forget about the seasons when we eat. 
Originally, people had no choice but to eat foods only when they were in season. 
But now, modern food propagation methods and a fast and economical worldwide distribution of food make the same 
foods available all year round. You can buy many types of food from a supermarket irrespective of 
seasonal availability, and grocery store shelves look much the same in December as they do in July. 

However, life always comes full circle and now, once again, we are moving back to the old fashion approach of following the seasons. Seasonal foods are a way of reconnecting with the cycle that nature intended for us. Raw foods, the healthiest wholesome foods provided by nature, are seasonal. 
And when food is in season, it has more flavour and is more economical to buy. 


The nutritional level of fresh, seasonal food is very high. The longer that it is stored the more the 
nutritional value depletes. So, it’s a good idea to eat freshly picked fruit, or freshly harvested produce. 
Try supporting your local farmers’ market or your local fresh fruit and vegetable store, because 
generally they will stock what is in season.

Embracing Your Beauty from within can be a journey.

Embrace your beauty from within can be a journey but it can be done. 

As I am now in my 46th year I am trying to embrace  natural beauty from within and inspire other women to do the same by learning all about your SKIN ~ your largest organ is a GUIDE to let you know what your internal health is. 

I am from the fashion industry and don't get me wrong, I love good hair, make up and fashion. I think its fun, creative and can make you feel feminine and womanly. My objective here is inner health and to inspire you to think about your skin as your largest organ learning how it can be your guide to how healthy you are from within. I know when my skin isn't glowing or breaking out I need to make some changes. 

Here is my experiment embracing my natural beauty. 

1. Allowing my natural hair colour to come in, no hair colour. My former background is owning Hair and Beauty Salons so I have been use to colouring my own hair for many years now. This is something I have always wanted to do, its not to say I won't ever colour my hair again... NO!

2. Allowing my eyebrows to grow in naturally so I can see their natural shape. Years ago this was fashion, these days eyebrows look so false and painted on, Men don’t actually like it!

3. Increasing water for hydration, I can see and feel the difference.

4. Focused on sleep and meditation for restoring my body and digestive system. 

5. Natural nails and toes, letting my nails breathe, loving this one.

6. Meditation can help with less frowning and anger shown on our beautiful face.  I am working with Men and women everyday and it is something I remind my clients to relax their facial muscles and try to smile within. Letting go of all those annoyances that can over time show lines and frowns on our face. Finding JOY within helps us stay young and vibrant! 

Embracing inner beauty as a mum and Fitness Coach I feel this is so important as today’s rapidly changing world is becoming more and more materialistic and fake. 

I have two beautiful girls and I want to be the best role model I can be for living a natural, balanced and healthy lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, I love a filter and being creative on social media, snap chat and Instagram but if I can also balance that out by being brave enough to show my natural beauty I hope one day my own girls will learn from it and continue to embrace theirs. 

Embracing natural beauty is empowering, what every the colour of your skin, the size of you, tall or short, dark hair or light.   

It is  healthy as you aren’t relying on chemicals, make up or materials to MAKE you feel beautiful. I believe Real BEAUTY begins from within. As a young kid we have glowing young skin, when we age we have to step up to our health so you can continue to radiate your natural beauty. 

As a Fitness Coach you have to exercise to purge toxins, eat healthy, drink plenty of clean water and rest and restore. 
I use rose hip oil, coconut oil, Essential oils, sleep, Meditation and healthy nutrition to help my skin flow.

Are your Chakra's working properly

Change your energy’s change your life. 

You know when things aren't working in your life. But have you been open enough to work on your Bodies Energy System? Chakra Balancing has been around for thousands of years, it is simple and works. I am going to share with you the one single thing that can help you figure out how to transform that area in a flash. 

Like everything in life, if you want something to grow, flourish and radiate to become the best and reach full potential you have to look after it and take care of it, just like your body, your temple.

Open your Bodies Chakra System and make sure it is working properly. 

You don’t need to drag up the past, know what baggage you are carrying around or where it came from to understand what is wrong with a certain area of your life that may not be working for you. 

All you need to know is if an area of your life is not working, one or more of your chakras are is possibly blocked or not working properly. 

Your job is not to know why and be worried, it is to make sure it is working properly. 

Here is the single on thing that helps you to change that area of your life.

Meditating isn't always easy for beginners. I remember it well when I first started, I was so distracted in my mind and fidgety in my body. My Yoga Guru always said a fidgety body and fidgety mind. What he meant by that was the mind flitting from thought to though and not creating the present moment and right vibration in my mind and body to help me reap the results I was after. Now I have trained my mind to meditate I can go into deep states of deep meditation quickly to re adjust my mindset and chakra bodies energy system when stuff comes up or when I feel I am not reaping the results in areas of my life. I will teach you that through your practice, patience is just as important when you first start sowing the new seeds of abundance, love and success. It is a journey and can take time for you to align your energy and define your goals. 

You can channel or manifest anything really into your life when you learn this technique. I am sure you have heard of the book 'The Secret"  or read it, millions of people have read this book but are they all living the dream? 
It can take some time to integrate this technique into your body and life. I can tell you I have been on this path a long time and I am still learning and integrating it into my daily life. I know when my chakra's are open and I am receiving all the love abundance, good health and success and when I am not. 
You can change it in a flash. But first we must get quiet, sit in solitude and learn to relax your mind and body.

The Keys to an optimistic mindset


1. Stop being your own worst enemy. Be your own best friend. 

2. Don’t put yourself down. Pull yourself up. 

3. Don’t permit others to define who you are. You can not be a failure without your own permission 

4. Respect yourself. Place a high value on yourself

5. Take stock of who you are and what you’re capable of. Work on weaknesses and find new strengths everyday. 

6. Replace “ I can’t” with “ I can” & “ I will”

7. Be compassionate. Learn to love yourself and others will love you. 

8. Treat your temple with respect, the way you want to be treated. 

9. Remember you are an individual expression of God, Energy, higher self, divine light, you are priceless and irreplaceable.

10. Visualise what you want from life, then work toward it, see it, then be it. 

11. Allow time to be by yourself, solitude with yourself. Take time to appreciate yourself. 

12. Be grateful if your uniqueness. There has never been another you or will be another you. 

13. Realise that you are important to the entire universe. What happens to the world also begins with you.

Quinoa and Kale Crisp Bread

Raw Food Benefits

I believe that taking care of yourself is the best insurance that you can have for a vibrant life full of joy and happiness, and that eating a good diet, rich in vitamins and minerals, will help to promote good health.
For me, a Raw food lifestyle begins with reassessing the basic foods provided for us by nature. In order to do that, I believe that it is essential to strip out of our diets all foods that are processed or packaged, loaded with artificial flavour enhancers and sweeteners and which are devoid of nutritional value.

Nature provides us with a whole array of healthy foods, which, when incorporated into our diet, provides us with vitality, good health and energy. These foods can offer a perfect nutritional package. When eaten Raw, we benefit from the maximum nutritional value that each of these foods offers.

I believe that ‘living’ foods – meaning those that grow in the ground – are our life force. By integrating living foods into our diets, we can look forward to wellness, greater energy, mental clarity, a positive outlook on life and spiritual awakening.

When you eat Raw food, you’ll notice that you don’t need to eat so much, or need to eat the heavier foods that you previously desired. Lighter food makes us feel lighter and more energized. You’ll never feel as if you are on a diet when eating this way.

Quinoa and Kale Crisp Bread

This recipe offers more protein with a nutty taste and grainy texture. A great bread to use as an open sandwich filled with fresh salad and herbs.

Serves 6–8
1 cup kale 1⁄2 cup fresh basil
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon olive oil

1⁄2 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt or Celtic sea salt
1 teaspoon oregano
1⁄2 cup sunflower seeds
2 cups  LSA meal (mixed ground linseeds, sunflower seeds and almonds) 

1/3 cup warm water
1 cup  cooked quinoa (I use the dark seed) 

Sliced avocado, mixed salad, hummus or jam, to serve

Process the kale, basil, cumin, oil, salt and oregano in the bowl of a food processor then tip into a large bowl.

Process the sunflower seeds just until they form fine crumbs, then add to the bowl with the kale mixture. Stir through the LSA and then add the water a little at a time, and mix between each addition until a dough forms. Stir in the quinoa.

Turn out onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper and press the mixture out to the edges. 

Place a sheet of baking paper on top, then roll over with a rolling pin until flat and 1⁄4 in (0.5 cm) thick. Remove the top paper and transfer to the tray of a dehydrator or bake in the oven  on a low temp 75 degree

Dehydrate for 2–3 hours, or bake in the oven at 100°C/210°F for 30 minutes. 

Be careful not overbake. If you don’t have a dehydrator, bake for 10–15 minutes and then turn off the oven and leave for 30 minutes with the oven door shut. Cut with a pizza cutter into squares

Top with avocado, salad, hummus or a jam. 


Pronounced ‘keen-wah’, this superfood is gluten free, nutritious and high in protein. It adds body
and texture to any Raw food recipe, and has a lovely nutty flavour. Quinoa grains are the grain-like sprouts of a plant similar to Swiss chard and spinach. Rinse the quinoa seeds thoroughly before using them. 

My purpose in writing my  book  and sharing recipes is to help you transform to a lifestyle that provides you with a healthy life, a pain-free body, contentment and longevity. On my Raw food journey, I have learned new ways of creating healthy food that serves my body well and keeps me healthy. Life comes with choices, and you can choose Raw food healthy eating to become part of your life.

Be mindful of the foods that you put into your body. Make peace with your body and nurture it with the food it needs. Treat your body like a TEMPLE, respect it daily with nourishing foods, exercise and rest and relaxation/meditation.

Healthy Tips for Eating Out

EATING OUT this weekend? 

I have eaten  out at a lot of beautiful and amazing restaurants, however it is important you only do this once or twice while trying to change your lifestyle and health, and defiantly not all the time. 

There are things you must know to make eating out easy and not allow it to effect your results while on the program.

Here are my tips I do to staying on track.

✔️I order an entree rather than a main

✔️Order 2 small entrees for your meal. It could be a side of greens and a salad

✔️Choose gluten free, dairy free - especially when going to a wedding/event make sure you put your request in.

✔️Let the waiter know you are on a special gluten free plan and not allowed and dairy or gluten, this will keep you safe while eating out. 

✔️Ask for ALL  sauces on the side. That way you have control of what it is and how much you use.

✔️Opt for greens greens greens! The more green you eat while out the better.

✔️Order side Salads 

🤔Now dessert is tricky because not many offer the Raw desserts, so my tip is to order a camomile (or peppermint) tea with a side of honey. 

  • The herbal tea keeps you calm and released whole around friends eating their mud cakes, and cream. 
  • Choose the healthiest restaurant or cafe possible, if drinking try to add water in between or ask for hot water and lemon.
Lastly it is important to remember when eating out with fiends and family to relax and enjoy while being in control of the choices you make, if you happen to be challenged with less choice, then relax and enjoy and get RIGHT BACK ON TRACK THE NEXT MEAL OR NEXT DAY, I usually would do a greens juice and turmeric juice day the very next day with apple cider shots and turmeric tea.
